We eat a lot of vegetables some of us do not fond of vegetables. Instead of eating vegetables we throw them away. There are some vegetables those  are  expensive like diamond you will not leave a single molecule of those vegetable because they are very very expensive.
Top five costliest vegetables are as follow:-
1.Hop Shoots:- This vegetable is cultivated in Bihar, Aurangabad District. The crop is estimated to be sold at around a whooping cost of one lakh per kilogram. Farming of this vegetable is usually done in the European countries.
  1. Plantation of Hop-shoots in India was first done in Himachal Pradesh. It proved to be a failure because of its high price. Amresh Singh, 38, a farmer has started its cultivation on a trial basis in Bihar’s Aurangabad district. There are various uses of this vegetable, the fruit, flower, and stem of hop-shoots are all used in beverage making, beer making and for medicinal needs


    .Stem of this vegetable is used for the treatment of Tuberculosis(TB)



  2. 2.La Bonnotte Potatoes :-
    This potato, La Bonnotteis grown on the French island of Noirmoutier and is the most expensive type of potato in the world .These potatoes are very much delicate that is why it is harvested manually and due to which huge number or of man power is needed for harvesting this type of potatoes. 

There’s a slight lemon taste, and  also a chestnut flavour of this potato. Cost of this potato is  US$600 per kilo in INR 44472Rs.
  1. 3.Wasabi Root:-Wasabia japonica grows in northern Japan, parts of China, Taiwan, Korea and New Zealand. The cost of Wasabi is around  $160 per kilogram or  ₹11863 per Kg Cultivation of Wasabi is is very difficult because it needs  a constant supply of running spring water, it likes a shady area and rocky soil or gravel, and can only tolerate a temperature of around 8-20 degrees centigrade all year round. Too much humidity, or the wrong minerals can also cause problems for the plant and on top of all that it's susceptible to pests and disease.  
  2. Another one reason is that when you break wasabi , a chemical reaction occur in cells and due to which a spicy flavor comes and this flavor lasts only for 30 minutes .This is the reason real wasabi is not seen in supermarkets or in restaurants.   3. 4.Yamashita Spinach:- This is a Japanese-origin spinach that is cultivated about 40 miles outside of Paris by Asufumi Yamashita. It should be taken care a lot thats why these are so expensive. Cost of this spinach is  $26 per Kg or ₹1972 per Kg




  4. Pink lettuce :–  The pink lettuce is till now only grown in Italy and the state of California in the US. Price of this lettuce is $10 per pound or  ₹1480 per Kg.
